Guitar Challenge
Scenario
The annual air guitar contest is to be held inyour school for intermediate students
in your region.
Task
Design two costumes suitable for either gender from the materials provided.
These must include
- two tops
- one pair of trousers
- one skirt.
You may include accessories, eg
- a hat that could enhance the costume.
Materials
• 20 sheets of newspaper or newsprint
• Crepe paper and tin foil
• 2 x rolls of sticky tape
• Scissors
Conditions
You may only use the materials provided
The performers are to model their clothes and be able to perform a 30 second air
guitar performance without the clothes falling apart.
You have 30 minutes to complete this task
Judging Criteria
The design of the costume (20 marks)
The fit of the costume (15 marks)
The actual air guitar performance (15 marks)
